English for Creative Industry at a Glance

English for Creative Industry program equips students with knowledge, hands-on training, and the capabilities to create English-based works across various creative industries. Areas of focus include creative writing (fiction and nonfiction), film screenwriting, stage scripts, and performance arts such as acting, directing, theatrical artistic design, theater production, and film production.

Accreditation

The English Department, including the English for Creative Industry program, is Petra Christian University’s first department to receive the distinguished Excellent (Unggul) accreditation in 2020, having maintained the highest accreditation grade, “A”, since its inception.

Creative-Productive Approach

This innovative approach allows you to both acquire essential creative industry insights and develop your own creative work.

Three Tracks

Following fundamental coursework, you specialize in one of three distinctive concentrations: creative writing, performing arts, or film.

Critical & Creative Thesis

You may choose to do your thesis in one of these following forms: an analysis of existing works, or generating your original, creative projects.
